CCHS Senior {Ethan)

CCHS Seniors are rocking their sessions this year. I'm so proud of these guys. Ethan was such a sweet and polite young man. So driven and focused and a real trooper. His mama told me that he picked a football up as a toddler and hasn't put it down yet. Football is life!

 I know he was hungry and tired since his session was right after football practice, but he pressed on and did amazing. Wishing you the best of luck, Ethan, for your future and remember me when you're famous ;)

Look how fabulous those eyes are!

Some memories never fade.

There's an anonymous quote somewhere that says "A cousin is a little bit of childhood that is never lost." I have cousins that I grew up with, spent every spare second with and every memory of growing up that is worth remembering they're there in them. Good and bad, happy and sad. We may not be a part of each other's lives so much anymore, but we can always pick up where we left off, and we can always talk about the times hiking in the woods, camping out, the sleepovers, the snowstorms, and all the painful embarrassing memories of growing up. A cousin is just another person on your team that will share your hopes of one day kissing Bon Jovi, tying your little brother to a tree, or prank calling the boy you both have a crush on.

It was a pleasure to do a session for cousins. I've photographed all three of these guys before. As a matter of fact, Madi and her family was one of my very first clients way back when I started. (I hope they can see the improvement from then to now.) Not only was it a beautiful, fun, easy session but I know the memories from our time together on that summer evening will still be present in their minds when they're adults. That's how Cousin memories work. They're always there on the surface and something someone says or does brings it to our remembrance instantly, keeping just a small piece of childhood hope with us.

She is absolutely breathtaking!!!

JCrew will be calling any day!

Heart breaker!

A new chapter

As photographers we capture milestones. The obvious: weddings, newborns, baby's first year, maternity, seniors, special birthdays....the obvious milestones. It's the unprecedented milestone that I love to capture. For instance, Keisha is a Freshman in High School this year and what an awesome milestone to capture. I can remember how terrifying and exciting ninth grade was for me. I don't suppose that has changed in the 19 years since I was a High School Freshman (Gulp) and that entering that new world is still pretty scary. Keisha is already so beautiful and poised, I can't even imagine how awesome her senior session will be in a few years. I think though, looking back, she'll be glad she took these photos of her Freshman year.

Along the same lines as Keisha's session, I had the pleasure of doing a session for incoming 6th grader Addison. Sixth grade is just as equally exciting/frightening as ninth. Just another milestone in the life of a fabulous gal. Addison has amazing hair and is so full of hopes and dreams. She has big plans for her life and I hope I'm around with a camera to capture them.

Lifestyle photography is not just to capture those major life events. Every year in the life of your child is special and capturing it with some amazing photo-art is not a regret you will ever have.

CCHS Senior {Gates}

Another Senior from CCHS, Gates was as wonderful and unique as her name. I love it!!! I have been so fortunate to have the most beautiful, polite, easy going seniors. They make it so easy. Gates was so much fun and she totally understood my brand of crazy. So when I said " stand like this" or  "walk like this" or "look like this" she obliged me. She did amazing and her pictures turned out gorgeous.

CCHS Senior {Brittany}

I'm totally trying to blog all my last two months of sessions and I'm not doing so well. Anyway, this gal is a sweet senior from CCHS. I've kinda knew her since she was in diapers, literally. I feel so old with all these kids being seniors that I knew when they were born. Anyway, Brit was prepared for her session. Lots of clothes, accessories, shoes, and a whole lotta sass. This is why I love this so much. It was about 125 degrees outside but she trooped right along and I think I might have lost a pound. I like to think so anyway. I just want you to know I'm proud of you sweet Brittany and I think you are a gorgeous and amazing gal. Stay country!!!

This is what families are made of

What can I say about this crew? Well, there aren't enough words in the entire world to explain their courage, determination and strength. Through every trial and hardship, they still have kept their smile. Inspiration!!! Simply, Inspiration. Keep hanging guys and Kate, you keep fighting. ~C
