There's an anonymous quote somewhere that says "A cousin is a little bit of childhood that is never lost." I have cousins that I grew up with, spent every spare second with and every memory of growing up that is worth remembering they're there in them. Good and bad, happy and sad. We may not be a part of each other's lives so much anymore, but we can always pick up where we left off, and we can always talk about the times hiking in the woods, camping out, the sleepovers, the snowstorms, and all the painful embarrassing memories of growing up. A cousin is just another person on your team that will share your hopes of one day kissing Bon Jovi, tying your little brother to a tree, or prank calling the boy you both have a crush on.
It was a pleasure to do a session for cousins. I've photographed all three of these guys before. As a matter of fact, Madi and her family was one of my very first clients way back when I started. (I hope they can see the improvement from then to now.) Not only was it a beautiful, fun, easy session but I know the memories from our time together on that summer evening will still be present in their minds when they're adults. That's how Cousin memories work. They're always there on the surface and something someone says or does brings it to our remembrance instantly, keeping just a small piece of childhood hope with us.
She is absolutely breathtaking!!!
JCrew will be calling any day!
Heart breaker!
