January almost gone

Hello world! I planned to do a special "yay it's 2013" blog but I never got around to it. Technically, I am still in winter hibernation, but I did come out of hiding to do a couple of sessions this month. As the wind howls outside and the rain beats down I figured now was a good a time as any to catch up the blog. Other than wishing this awful wet winter was over, I've been enjoying 2013. Hope all of you are too!

So, as you know I don't photograph babies under six months old. But, this guy belongs to some of my dearest friends and he made his debut in December. He's a month old in his pictures and just sweet as pie.

And this little gal has been a client since way back when. I was honored to take pictures for her for CCHS Basketball homecoming. Look at how gorg she is.

Such a sweet family. Sawyer was celebrating turning one and shortly after his session I found out he's gonna be a big brother. Congrats to the Wallace's on their new addition and Happy Birthday Sawyer.

Kingsten is turning 2

I'm not even going to attempt an apology. My blog life is lacking. 

Kingsten, turning two, and excited about everything. What a sweet little guy. His blue eyes are amazing. Gonna be a heartbreaker some day. He was so much fun and in two year old spirit had me laughing.

Where'd They Go....

If this session had a catch phrase it would be “Where’d they go?” Because we kept losing kids left and right. Haha!!! I guess that happens a lot when you have four kids with endless energy and imagination.

So you loyal followers know that I love urban settings. I love brick structures, alleys and doorways, fire escapes and graffiti. And it’s true my favorite places to shoot are old city structures. (Roanoke and Nashville being my two favorites so far) But there is something to be said for the country and mountains. The place chosen for this session was probably one of the most beautiful landscapes that I’ve ever photographed. There were no power lines intruding and it was pretty easy to feel at home. A special thanks to Margie and Kenneth for their permission to use their property.

These children are gorgeous. I know I say that almost every session, but seriously, they are. It was a perfect fall day and as I said before, a perfect location. Yes the kids kept disappearing (they had a lot of room to play) but when we found them this is what happened.

I love this lady so much. She’s a sweet friend and such a great person. If you ever want to do something just for yourself book a photo session. We had such fun and look how wonderful the final result turned out. Peggy you are such a great friend and I love you.
