Y'all know Lacie. She's a regular here at CYP. The day of her session it rained so hard, that the ducks were carrying umbrellas. Her mama had bought a really nice cake for the session and of course we couldn't let it go to waste. We decided to try inside. In theory, this idea should have worked. We did a few outfit changes, darted in and out of the sprinkling rain, and by the time the cake came out, I was feeling pretty good. On the second snap, something happened to my flash. The batteries evidently exploded and it quit working. So much for cake pictures. I was devastated. I don't have a back up flash, because truthfully I never use them. It is only in rare circumstances (like these) that I would consider one. Just another lesson learned I suppose. Thankfully, Lacie's mama was understanding and I think the few pics I was able to get are pretty cute. Happy One Year Lacie Ann.
